Special Educational Needs
St Michael‟s First school embraces and has adopted the principles and practices outlined in the new Code of Practice, introduced in January 2002.
St Michael’s is a Church of England school and has very strong links with St Michael’s church. We visit each term for our worship as well as performing our Christmas, Easter and End of year services in church.
The School uses Jolly Phonics letters and sounds for teaching phonics. We also use Oxford Reading Tree, Bug Club, Songbirds, Dandelion Readers, Flying Boot and Key Word books.
Topic Webs show what classes are studying every term.
Additional curriculum information is also available in the school prospectus.
Ofsted reports and relevant information from the Department for Education Performance Tables.
